By the mid-'70s he was moving toward electric jazz-funk, and Mickey's Mouth, named after the band he formed on his return from the US, is the result. Long overlooked outside Japan, it has become a favorite of collectors digging into Japanese fusion and the instrumental side of the city pop era.

Tracklist

Side A

What's Happening

Let's Get Together

Hello Jess

Side B

I Saw the Light

Airplane

Release details

Artist

Mikio Masuda (益田幹夫) / Mickey's Mouth

Title

Mickey's Mouth (ミッキーズ・マウス)

Label

Universal Music Japan

Catalog No.

PROZ-7927

Barcode

4988031895382

Format

12" LP, clear yellow vinyl

Country

Japan (import)

Released

September 30, 2026 (original album: 1976)

Genre

Jazz-Fusion, Jazz-Funk, Japanese Jazz

Condition

New

Why buy from STOKYO

STOKYO is run by DJs and vinyl heads, and we've been importing Japanese records and analog gear since 2004.
