Skip-proof scratch samples from the DJ who invented the format.

  • Each sample repeats across the groove, so a jumped needle lands on the same sound
  • Built for practice, battles and live sets
  • Double LP on Decadent Records, DJ Swamp's own label

Keep the series going: Skip Proof Scratch Tool Vol. 4

Volume 3 of DJ Swamp's Skip Proof Scratch Tool series on Decadent Records: a double LP of scratch sounds built for practice, battles and live sets. Each sample repeats in a straight line across the groove, so if the needle jumps mid-cut it lands on the same sound and you never lose your place.

About DJ Swamp

DJ Swamp (Ronald Keys Jr.) won the US DMC Championship in 1996, his first year entering, then toured for four years as Beck's DJ. That same year he started Decadent Records to put out his own scratch tools and breaks, including the skip-proof scratch tool he invented, a format that has been copied ever since. He was featured in the DJ documentary Scratch.
