The sound of the original 1986 Dragon Ball, back on vinyl in Dragon Ball orange. This is the first soundtrack album from the TV anime: Shunsuke Kikuchi's score plus the opening theme "Makafushigi Adventure!" and the ending theme "Romantic Ageru yo." Nippon Columbia reissued it in 2026 on clear orange vinyl. Japanese pressing, new.

  • Both classic themes. "Makafushigi Adventure!" sung by Hiroki Takahashi and "Romantic Ageru yo" sung by Ushio Hashimoto.
  • Shunsuke Kikuchi's original score. These are the cues from Goku and Bulma's first adventures, from "Sexy Gal Bulma" and "Funky Kamesennin" to "Shenlong Shutsugen."
  • Clear orange vinyl. The color is a nod to the Dragon Balls themselves.
  • Official Japanese reissue. Nippon Columbia, catalog number HMJA-235, released July 29, 2026.

About the record

Dragon Ball started airing on Japanese TV in 1986. Before CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA and the Z era, this was the music of the original series. Composer Shunsuke Kikuchi, who also scored Doraemon and Kamen Rider, wrote a soundtrack that mixes kung-fu action, comedy and adventure. Takeshi Ike's two theme songs, arranged by Kohei Tanaka, open and close the album. Nippon Columbia reissued this first music collection on black vinyl in 2025, and this clear orange edition followed in 2026.
