  • Limited production. Sony Music Japan / Ariola, catalog number BVJL-90.

About the album

By 1982, Tatsuro Yamashita was coming off the breakthrough of "RIDE ON TIME," and FOR YOU is the sound of him at full confidence: dense vocal harmonies, razor-sharp guitar cutting and pristine studio production, with Eizin Suzuki's cover illustration fixing it forever as a summer record. Built as a continuous 40-minute listen with short interludes between songs, it became one of his best-loved albums and a cornerstone of today's global city pop following. This edition was the first of eight titles in the TATSURO YAMASHITA RCA/AIR YEARS Vinyl Collection, which reissued his 1976–1982 catalog in 2023.
