Masayoshi Takanaka – alone LP + 7", 180g Clear Deep Blue Vinyl (Abbey Road Remaster, Japan Import, UPJY-9525)
Masayoshi Takanaka's 1981 album alone, remastered at Abbey Road on 180g clear deep blue vinyl, with "WHITE LAGOON" as a bonus 7". Fast, sparkling and effortlessly smooth, it's Takanaka at the height of his early-'80s run. "WHITE LAGOON" originally came only as a flexi disc with first pressings, and it's included here as a proper 7" EP. Japanese pressing, new.
- Bonus 7" EP: "WHITE LAGOON." Originally a first-press-only flexi disc in 1981, now pressed as a 7" EP.
- Remastered and cut at Abbey Road. Alex Wharton, whose credits include Paul McCartney & Wings and The Chemical Brothers, worked from high-resolution transfers of the original master tapes.
- 180g clear deep blue vinyl. A limited color pressing chosen to match the album's artwork.
- Part of Universal Music Japan's Takanaka remaster series. Alongside T-WAVE and The Rainbow Goblins. Catalog number UPJY-9525.

About the album
Released in December 1981, alone was Masayoshi Takanaka's eighth album, arriving at the end of the year he staged The Rainbow Goblins at the Budokan. After that grand concept piece, alone returns to tight, bright fusion, from the opener "SPEED OF LOVE" through "FEEDBACK'S FEEL," "Rio no Yume" and "PENGUIN DANCER." It's a favorite among listeners who've found Takanaka through the city pop and Japanese fusion revival, and this edition finally gives "WHITE LAGOON" a home on a standard 7" record instead of a flexi disc.
